Crying at a Bus Stop
A Litany
Because public crying is exfoliating. Make sure to sit. Because crying should be done sitting down Because most bus stop benches are exposed to the elements. Because you're probably holding something, a plastic bag, a paper grocery bag, or a rock near your heart that forces your feet to shuffle and your neck to bend. Because this bus trip happened after hours, Because public transport is closer to the Old World Because leaving, or traveling, should include a short cry or a long one, on the inside or the outside. Because it's only between destinations that reflection works. Because the bus is on a schedule, and the eys are not. Because to get where you need to go, you need to be swallowed by a whale of sorts, those two doors opening on a hydraulic hinge.

I'm actually wishing for a good cry (I have a hard time at it truthfully). This poem was well crafted together Jay!
“Because to get where you need to go,
you need to be swallowed
by a whale of sorts” I love this line it stopped me in my tracks and it’s just so good
